Challenge

Contract to both Oracle and Cisco to help develop individual shared Content Management systems and to build the basis of multiple UI libraries for website creation.

Responsibilities

Cisco

Developed a shared Content Management System (CMS) space to provide standards documentation, guidelines, branding, content building, and contact information to streamline Cisco’s web creation process.

Oracle

Formed the basis of the UI library for Oracle event sites (ex. Oracle OpenWorld, CodeOne, JavaOne, Modern Business Exchange) by designing hi and lo fidelity UI components and page layout mockups in Balsamiq, Sketch, InVision, and Axure. 

What was accomplished for Cisco

Streamlined Cisco's web creation process by developing a shared Content Management System (CMS) space to provide UX/UI and branding standard documentation.

Optimized Cisco's main menu by performing a menu audit using metrics and standard Information Architecture methods.

Performed design audits based on UX guidelines and stakeholder needs.

Developed multiple user interaction for different page elements within Cisco.com.

What was accomplished for Oracle

Deployed optimized menu architecture and homepage layouts, increasing registration follow through by 60%.

Formulated Oracle event site component libraries for Oracle OpenWorld, Code One, and additional minor events balancing stakeholder desires with UX standards and development feasibility.

Helped to update/map older page content to current component library.

Conducted user research and helped restructure Oracle.com menu and local navigations.

1.Oracle OpenWorld 2018 Homepage

Created high fidelity mockups that served as the base UI library for Oracle OpenWorld, CodeOne, JavaOne, and Modern Business Exchange.  Met with stakeholders each year to discuss what new changes would like to be seen, and helped develop mockups, standards, and rules for each new UI element.

2. Cisco "What is Best" Prototype
