DroneHanger1 (DH1Pro)

Challenge

To build an online community where drone pilots would be able to create profiles, submit drone repair requests, train and become a certified pilot, post and find gigs, and interact with other pilots through forums, blogs, and shared user content.  Roles included site conceptualization, branding, social media outreach, event organizer, and overall project management.

Responsibilities

Architected DH1Pro’s website and mobile app features, layouts, and user flows by interviewing stakeholders, researching implementation strategies, and designing Balsamiq mockups to aid project development. 

Spearheaded WordPress site development by project managing remote developers, implementing site branding and visual content, and creating and curating page text and feature content.

What was accomplished

Outlined full site architecture from stakeholder requirements.

Created all site workflows and mockups for Dronehanger1.com/DH1Pro.com website and mobile app.

Updated DroneHanger1.com (on Wix) with current site content.

Project managed developers to ensure DH1Pro.com (WordPress) satisfied stateholder requirements.

Selected theme and plugins for WordPress site.

Curated and maintained all content (text, image assets, and forms) on WordPress site.

Used HTML/CSS and WordPress Dashboard to fine tune website's design.

Created and maintained DH1Pro social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit.

1. Website Page Mockups
Created lo fidelity mockups (Profile Page, Adding Photos, Repairs) that outlined the UX/UI features that were needed for the DH1Pro Website. Below shows the anticipated site architecture, and what features users would be able to have in the different areas of the site.  Developed full site architecture and website layouts.












2. "Where to Fly" Mobile Application
Additionally created lo fidelity mockups for future mobile app connected to website profile information and functionalities.  Discussed with Stakeholder primary needs for application and developed following mobile application architecture and mobile layouts.
